Dr. Jason Baker MD

Family Physician - Lead

Dr. Baker graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in 1995 and completed his Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where he served as chief Resident in his senior year (jointly with Dr. Morch).   He practices comprehensive, general family practice with an interest in Emergency Medicine and Geriatrics. In addition to his leadership at MyFamilyMD, Dr. Baker is a Staff Emergency Physician at the University Health Network, Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Staff Physician for Hazelton Place Retirement Centre, School Physician for Upper Canada College , and a Physician Peer Leader with OntarioMD. In 2012, Dr. Baker created LocumsOntario, a website dedicated to helping physicians get Locum coverage when they are away.  Dr. Baker's interests are diverse and he prides himself on both his skill set and his level of care for patients.

Dr. Ellie Morch MD

Family Physician - Menopause Practitioner

As a certified Menopause Practitioner, Dr. Morch has a directed interest in the care of both the peri-menopausal and post-menopausal woman and in dealing with the unique life cycle issues related to this population.  Her interests also relate to women's general health issues and pediatrics.  Dr. Morch graduated from the University of British Columbia Medical School in 1995 after entering a Masters program in Nursing at McGill. Dr. Morch completed her Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where she served as chief Resident in her senior year (jointly with Dr. Baker).  She practices comprehensive, general family practice and has ongoing special education in Women's Health through the North American Menopause Society.  In Renfrew, Dr. Morch was instrumental in the organization and leadership of the community’s Women's Health Clinic

Dr. Faye Goldman MD

Family Physician

Dr. Goldman is a seasoned veteran of Family Medicine.  Originally from Toronto, she has spent the last 25 years practicing in the Ottawa area.  The first half of her career was spent as an Academic Family Physician in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, and the latter half as a community physician.  Faye has also worked as a Palliative Care Physician and has spent many years as a Camp Physician.  Dr. Goldman completed her medical degree at the University Toronto, before moving to Ottawa for Family Medicine Residency.  Later, she obtained her Masters of Health Professional Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.  We are honoured that Dr. Goldman has joined us here at MyFamilyMD.

Ms. Lauren Gunning NP

Nurse Practitioner

Lauren is the newest member of our team and our first Nurse Practitioner!  Originally from Caledonia, Ontario, Lauren did her Registered Nurse degree at Queen's University and followed this with seven years working in the intensive care unit at the Kingston General Hospital  and on their organ transplant team.  She then completed her Nurse Practioner diploma and received her Masters of Nursing also from Queen's University.   Lauren moved to Toronto in August, 2021 with her partner and started working with MyFamilyMD in October.

Dr. Stella Lee MD

Family Physician

Originally from Toronto, Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from McMaster University and worked in international development in Mexico before returning to Canada to pursue medicine at McMaster. She completed her residency at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver in 2008, and returned to Toronto to complete a fellowship in low-risk obstetrics. Dr. Lee has a diverse array of interests within family medicine including maternity care and minor office procedures.  She has a keen interest in travel medicine and has volunteered overseas in places like Kenya and Nepal.

Dr. Silvy Mathew MD

Family Physician - Menopause Practitioner

Dr. Mathew joined MyFamilyMD in 2012.  After earning her honours Bachelor degree in Biology from McMaster University, Dr. Mathew attained her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. She completed her Family Medicine Residency program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and completed an extra year specializing in Health Systems Development, which included an international placement in India.  Dr. Mathew's interests range from newborns to the elderly and she enjoys practicing the full scope of Family Medicine.  She became a certified Menopause Practitioner in 2015.  We are extremely proud to have Dr. Silvy Mathew with us at MyFamilyMD.

Dr. Carly Schenker MD

Family Physician

Dr. Schenker joined MyFamilyMD in 2022.   After earning her Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University in 2017, Dr. Schenker returned to Western University to earn a  Bachelor of Medical Science with distinction.  She completed her Family Medicine training at the University of Toronto and earned an appointment as a Lecturer at the university.   For two years she worked concurrently at the Toronto Western Family Health Team as a clinician-teacher and as a Hospitalist at the Toronto Western Hospital.  Dr. Schenker is a skilled clinician and a published researcher.  We are so happy that she joined our clinic here at MyFamilyMD.
