Flu Shot Information 2021-22

Flu shots are now arriving.  Every two weeks, Toronto Public Health provides us with a limited supply of regular (QIV) and high dose (HD) flu vaccines.  With each delivery, flu clinics will be organized for which you may book your flu shot appointment.   As usual, we are giving priority to those identified as high risk for the flu.  Below is a list of high-risk criteria and our flu shot clinic schedule.

High Risk for Influenza?

• Heart or Lung disease 
• Kidney disease
• Diabetes
• Cancer
• Immune deficiency or transplant
• Anemia
• Significant obesity (BMI ≥ 40)
• Age ≥ 65
• Age 6 months to 5 years (first time? 2 shots needed)
• Healthy pregnant women (transfer immunity to baby)
• Healthcare providers
• Care providers to high risk people
